Study site locations: South Dakota - Arsenic concentrations in house wrens

Arsenic was detected in house wren liver tissue and house wren diet samples from Whitewood Creek, South Dakota, but not in those same tissues from a reference areas in Wyoming.  The arsenic concentrations were extraordinarily high and the source was mine tailings from gold mines in nearby mountains.
