Study site locations: New York - Hudson River -Spotted sandpiper

Total PCBs were significantly greater in spotted sandpiper eggs from the Hudson River compared to two other  nearby rivers. Twenty percent of the eggs  exceeded 20 mg PCBs/g wet wt., the estimated threshold for reduced hatching in other bird species.
