LTRMP SOP: Automated stereo zoom transfer scope Robinson, L. 1995. Long Term Resource Monitoring Program standard operating procedures: Automated stereo zoom transfer scope. National Biological Service, Environmental Management Technical Center, Onalaska, Wisconsin, November 1995. LTRMP 95-P008-4. 16 pp. (NTIS #PB96-147509) ABSTRACT The Stereo Zoom Transfer Scope is used to create ASCII file "coverages" by digitizing directly from stereo pairs of interpreted aerial photos. This is accomplished by removing all parallax error along the flight line and referencing the photos to the Earth's surface with control points acquired using differentially corrected Global Positioning System data. The ASCII files are then converted to an ARC/INFO format, where they can be generated into a digital coverage, edited, labeled, and archived.
